A record 83 players competed in the third installment of the Central Oregon Winter Series on Jan. 3, 2026, at Cascades Academy in Tumalo. The weather generally cooperated temperature-wise, although gusts reached 25-30 mph during the second round. But the wind didn't stop the aces! Three of them in Round 2, in fact — Dan Diridoni and Jonathan Hughes aced the 240-foot, uphill, across-the-island Hole 17. Michael Phanco aced the touchy 190-foot, downhill, island-green Hole 16 — with a thumber!


Also of note was Fenton Flanagan's hot round of 12-down in MA1, which was 1018-rated. Ty Love won MPO by 9 strokes with 1049-rated golf on the day.
