The Central Oregon Disc Golf Club received a $15,000 grant through the Bend Sustainability Fund (BSF)—and it's going toward course improvements at Skyline Disc Golf Course. This one-year grant collaboration with Bend Park and Recreation will upgrade the wayfinding and tee signage to improve navigation, add safety signage to alert non-players to course activity, and install a course message board to support orientation and communication.
The project will also include minor landscaping and trail improvements, installation of concrete tee pads, and permanent targets with multiple pin positions to improve play quality and reduce erosion. Course work is planned to begin this fall with minimal disruption to play, volunteer opportunities will be posted when a more clear timeline is determined.
The BSF is funded by lodging taxes paid by overnight visitors staying in Bend and reinvested into the community projects with long-term impact. We're one of 11 recipients this cycle, and we're proud to be part of it.
🗳️ Want to show your support? Cast your vote in the community ballot—open through April 1—at sustainability.visitbend.com. The two projects that earn the most votes each receive an extra $1,000 in funding.
