BIG CHANGES to how we are handling club membership this year, as well as how we run tags in Bend and Redmond. We hope this will give community members more options, increase communication, and streamline how disc golf events are run in Central Oregon.

CLUB MEMBERSHIP

We are now using Disc Golf Scene for club membership. The Club Membership page with more info is here (and is pictured above)

(The Club Membership page above is separate from the Club page, which is still in use and up to date. We'll post info and answer questions in the comment sections on both pages.)

The price of CODGC Membership for 2026 is $15. Membership dues help us (the club board) run events, purchase equipment and merchandise, maintain courses, and coordinate with parks departments, schools, and other organizations. We appreciate our members' support, and are always open to feedback (email us at centraloregondiscgolf@gmail.com.) Thank you!

Beyond supporting your local club, membership has the following benefits:

- Invitation to a members-only event in the fall (details TBD)

- A club pin, available later this summer

- Discounts on all club merchandise

- Subscription to a new club e-newsletter

- Discounts at local businesses (including Bevel Craft Brewing, among others)

TAGS LEAGUES: BEND & REDMOND

We are also using the Club Membership page for registration for Tuesday Night Tags in Bend and Friday Night Tags in Redmond. Both leagues start in April, and both will continue to use physical tags. Tuesday Night Tags at Pine Nursery in Bend will once again be PDGA-sanctioned in 2026. There will be plenty of info on the DGS pages linked above.

The cost of a tag in either league is $10. You may purchase both tags. You must be a club member to purchase a tag and play in either league. You do not need to be a PDGA member to play tags. (And you no longer need to buy a tag in order to be a club member!)

NOTES / FAQs

Why the change? Many reasons. First, using Disc Golf Scene for club membership and tags allows us to better understand and communicate with our membership. We plan to distribute an occasional newsletter, and we can now more easily send out news alerts when needed.

We also wanted to separate club membership (our widespread disc golf–loving community) from our tags leagues (a narrow section of this community). All members now have a way to support the club and receive benefits beyond participation in tags.

Finally, while our Facebook group is a great resource, we wanted to move away from it as our community's main information repository. We will continue to use the Facebook group! But the information posted on the Disc Golf Scene pages (the Club page, the Membership page, the TNT page and the FNT page) will be more accessible and easier to find. And some disc golfers aren't on Facebook!

What about PDGA membership? This will continue to be separate. CODGC members do receive a discount when renewing their PDGA membership — ask online or email us at centraloregondiscgolf@gmail.com for the code.

Do I need to be a club member to play COWS (Central Oregon Winter Series)? No — at least, not for the current series. We may offer member discounts for 2026-2027 COWS.

I'd like a disc with my membership, please! Perfect — there's an option for that (for an extra $20), as well as an option to give more than $15 if you feel inspired. Thanks for being part of the Central Oregon disc golf community!
