Skyline to stay open year-round after unanimous Parks board vote

The 9-hole course at Skyline will now stay open all year, after the Bend Parks and Recreation District board voted unanimously Nov. 18 to approve the change.

Since its creation four years ago, Skyline has been a seasonal course, operating only in the winter months. Local disc golfers would install baskets and teepads in the fall and take them down every spring in a community partnership arrangement between CODGC and BPRD. But after years of successful maintenance and positive feedback — plus an increase in the number of rounds at Skyline — the board recognized the need for another full-time course in Bend.

Thanks to the Parks board for the recognizing this need and making the change with the unanimous vote. Further upgrades to the course were mentioned, including permanent teepads and another set of baskets.
